The original Neighbourhood Watch Strategic Plan 2008-2013 was revised by Board members and others at the Strategic Planning & Priorities Session held on Saturday 9th May 2009. The revisions have been finalised and are available below.
The main changes relate to:
- acknowledgement of the existence of Australasian Neighbourhood Watch (ANHW) and the intention to work in conjunction with and in support of ANHW
- inclusion of “community Safety” in several paragraphs; and
- inclusion of “community engagement” in several paragraphs (reflecting both the objective of AHNW and the fact that Victoria Police command has tasked the Victoria Police Safer Community Unit with responsibility in their area – and the fact that members of the Neighbourhood Watch network already engage with the community in area of community support, community strengthening and community renewal.
